Join Taungurung and Wurundjeri woman, Cassie Leatham, for an online workshop and create a woven bracelet made with natural fibres and decorated with foraged materials such as shells and feathers. Each bracelet represents traditional stories, wrapping around the wrist and giving protection to the wearer. Materials will be provided to attendees via post in advance of the online workshop.
Cassie Leatham is a Taungurung/Wurundjeri woman of the Kulin Nation. She is an Indigenous artist, master weaver, traditional dancer, bushtukka woman and educator whose art-making processes are informed by Aboriginal culture and history. Mon Mungun means ‘healing weave’ in Taungurung language.
