Återvinna is a design studio founded by Ciaran Custance and Sophie Lavis, exploring the relationship between material, form and permanence. Working primarily with reclaimed and responsibly sourced Australian hardwoods, the studio creates contemporary furniture that is guided by restraint, where every element has purpose and detail reveals itself over time.
Each piece is designed and crafted in the studio's Melbourne workshop, with ideas developed through making, testing and refinement. Rather than following trends or seasons, Återvinna is focused on building a considered body of work that reflects the enduring qualities of solid timber and the belief that the most sustainable furniture is the furniture that is never replaced.
