Dianne Mangan Dianne Mangan Studio

Dianne Mangan is passionate about working with clay and the elements of earth, air, fire and water. She currently lives in north east Victoria where she operates a gallery and ceramics studio business. She creates both functional vessels and one-off pieces whilst working with a diversity of clays and firing techniques.

Dianne aspires to a strong sense of form within her works and in the creation of one-off pieces is conscious of contrasting the contemporary ceramic object with the universality of the clay pot. Dianne formerly studied ceramics at Caulfield Institute of Technology (1975-77) and RMIT 1985. She graduated with a Masters in Art Administration (1998), through CoFA, UNSW.

Her works are represented in various collections including Parliament House ACT; Museum of Applied Arts & Sciences (formerly Powerhouse Museum), Sydney; Canberra School of Art collection; Monash University Department of Art & Design collection; Kenneth Hood Ceramics Collection (now dispersed).
