Lachlan Cashman & Sam Blomley Blomley Cashman Design Office

Blomley Cashman Design Office was founded by Lachlan Cashman and Sam Blomley in 2022. The pair studied together at RMIT’s furniture design program and connected over a shared love of craft, a penchant for challenge, and the urge to sample each other's lunches. Different backgrounds, desires, motives and skills mean the pair often find themselves working together as opposing forces, necessitating a practice that harmonises through justification and iteration. Their approach to design is the product of expansive and critical dialogue and is surmised by the desire to cohesively express good ideas as percipient objects.
