Commissioned by Setia and curated by Craft, Rust Cascade is a new site-specific mural by Naarm-based artist Drez. This harmonious design draws the viewer's gaze from the laneway to the upper portion of the Setia UNO complex using gradients of colour, introducing a bold visual language into this shared public space.
Drez’s abstract approach lies somewhere between contemporary and street art, providing an open narrative that encourages inclusivity. Drez’s considered response to the site embraces both the building’s existing heritage architecture alongside its sleek modern design.
Colour cascades down the wall, creating an unexpected moment amongst the concrete environment. A refreshing, abstracted experience available to all the local community that traverse through this space.
