Scott Chaseling

Scott Chaseling is a master craftsperson who is pushing the very boundaries and definitions of glass. After studying in Australia, Scott travelled widely developing new works in new locations through teaching, residencies and workshops.

This idea of the transient studio has allowed for new technologies and vocabularies to enter Scott's making, constantly rethinking material use and impact. This development in the work has been documented across a number of international magazines and exhibitions, including the Pergamon Museum (Berlin,Germany); Eisch Gallery, (Frauenau, Germany, 2012), Musee Atelier du Verre, (Sars-Poteries,France), and the major solo exhibition LACUNA at the European Museum of Modern Glass, (Coburg, Germany, 2010).

Most recently Scott's new series was part of the Loewe Craft Prize in the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, Madrid (2025) Chaseling's work is represented in many collections internationally, among them the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art (Kanazawa,Japan), and Museum Kunst Palast, (Dusseldorf,Germany), Palm Springs Museum California (USA); Ernsting Stiftung (Germany), Australian National Glass Collection, Wagga Wagga Art Gallery as well as the National Gallery of Australia (Canberra), QAGOMA (Brisbane), and the Loewe Collection (Spain).
