Tanika Jellis

Tanika Jellis is a Northern Rivers–based ceramic artist whose practice is deeply rooted in a fascination with the natural world, design, and architecture. She pushes the boundaries of clay to create one-off pieces that inhabit the space between functional and sculptural. Working predominantly with stoneware, Tanika hand-builds each piece using traditional techniques such as slab building and coiling. Her approach is both intuitive and considered, focusing on how each form will be used, how it will feel in a space, and how it will sit and interact with everyday objects in the home.
