Established in 2017, Thomas Lentini is a bespoke furniture maker and designer specialising in solid timber dining tables. His designs draw inspiration from architecture, nature, and his materials to create direct and meaningful heirloom pieces that respond to an intended space or end user.
Thomas completed a Diploma in Furniture Design & Technology in 2011, followed by the Associate Degree of Furniture Design in 2012 at RMIT.
In 2022, Thomas was formally invited by Tony Elwood AM as a designer to participate in the once in a decade exhibition, NGV Melbourne Now, 2023.
In November of 2023, Thomas was a recipient of the International Specialised Skills Institute and Italian Australian Foundation Sir James Gobbo Legacy Travel Fellowship. This fellowship will support and allow Thomas to travel to Italy in 2024 to meet with master craftspeople across the timber and marble industries, to better understand both traditional and contemporary manufacturing processes. Upon returning to Melbourne, Thomas aims to apply these learnings to evolve his practise and contribute to the ever-growing Melbourne design and craft sector.
