Matt Feder and Sarah Murphy lead Troppo Print Studio - a socially orientated print space. Here, they encourage the practice of printmaking through mid-century and contemporary techniques such as hand-drawn positives or digitally manipulated imagery.
Since 2012, together they have built on themes of labour, the significance of craft, and the power of process-based work in determining a sense of self and individual identity. As artists, they both enjoy testing the limitations and possibilities of hand-applied techniques, whether rooted in the field of craft, trade skills, or coalescence.
Matt also works as an Art Facilitator at a supported studio and has completed a Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) at RMIT in 2017 and a BA at NAS in 2016. Sarah also teaches screenprinting at VCA and holds a Masters of Fine Arts from RMIT, 2020 and a Bachelor of Fashion Design CSM (UAL), 2008.
