Zoë Veness is a contemporary jewellery artist and Senior Lecturer at UNSW Art & Design in Gadigal-Bidjigal/Sydney. She has participated in over 30 international and national exhibitions and produced 10 solo exhibitions including Still Point at Funaki Gallery in 2024, The Stream of Time at Woollahra Gallery in 2022 and New Terrain in an Old World at Craft + Design Canberra in 2017. She is the recipient of numerous grants including an Australian Postgraduate Award for PhD research and an Australian Research Council Linkage Grant. She was artist-in-residence at Bundanon on Dharawal-Dhurga Country in 2010 and at the Edinburgh College of Art in Scotland in 2006, and was awarded the winning prize for the Contemporary Wearables '23 Biennial Jewellery Award Exhibition. Her work is held in collections at Musée des Arts Décoratifs, National Gallery of Australia, Art Gallery of South Australia, Griffith Regional Art Gallery and Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery. She lives on Yuin Country.
