About Ana Petidis

Ana Petidis is a studio weaver based on the unceded lands of the Wadawarrung/Ballarat. Ana studied textiles at RMIT after a career working in community services. Her practice is process driven and often concerned with human ecology. Her hand weavings tell stories reflecting on human relationships in western contemporary life. Ana's practice embraces material explorations, colour and technical capability to create considered woven and textile artefacts. As well as exhibiting her creations regularly, she works in a textile mill, teaches multi shaft weaving and takes private commissions for woven textiles.
