Applications for the 2027 Vitrine Exhibition Program are now open.
Located at the entry to Craft Victoria, the Vitrine Gallery provides an opportunity for members to showcase innovative and experimental works. First to see by all who enter the space, the Vitrine provides members with the opportunity to respond to the challenge of a highly visible, yet constrained exhibition space.
Information for Applicants
- Each exhibition will run for approximately 6 weeks.
- The dimensions of the Vitrine Gallery are 151cm W x 104cm H x 36cm D, with six cubes measuring 45cm W x 52cm H x 36cm D each. The horizontal dividers can be removed to create three spaces of 45cm W x 104cm H x 36cm D.
- There is no access to power within the Vitrine.
Selection Process
- The Vitrine is programmed through an annual call-out and selection process.
- The Vitrine is open to makers at all career stages and strongly encourages experimental and conceptual approaches that actively engage with the constraints of the space.
- Successful applicants are decided by a selection panel comprising of members of the Craft team.
- The Vitrine is a dedicated space for Craft Members. You must be a Craft Member to apply for a Vitrine exhibition.
Applications for the Vitrine Gallery are now open until Monday 5 October 2026. Applicants will be advised of the outcome of their proposals in late October.
