Jessie French, navigates the intersection of art, ecology, and technology amidst the climate crisis. Pioneering in the realm of sustainable plastics, she explores consumption, symbiosis, and sustainability. Her extensive research and unique techniques have created materials that promote renewable and circular consumption. French's works are held in distinguished collections including the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) and Anchorage Museum, Alaska, and have been exhibited at the 23rd Biennale of Sydney, Institute of Modern Art, Monash University Museum of Art, Craft Victoria, NGV and Anchorage Museum. Through her modern material design studio, Other Matter, she fosters wider application of new, sustainable materials.
