For the third year running, Craft is partnering with Creative Ballarat on the delivery of Craft Lab. A key annual program and signature event within the City of Ballarat’s Heritage Festival, Craft Lab provides professional development, mentoring and a public platform for local craft makers and artists to showcase their skills and develop their creative practices.

Over two weekends (17 - 26 May, 2024) a selection of the finest makers from Ballarat and surrounding regions gather in one location at the Ballarat Mining Exchange. Heritage trades, fine arts, traditional practices, cultural rituals, lost skills and contemporary practice combined.

If you are a local maker in Ballarat or surrounding regions and interested in being considered for next year's Craft Lab fill in the form below. There are two ways for makers to participate - as a demonstrating practitioner and as a display practitioner. Selected demonstrating practitioners will be expected to participate in mentoring, training and professional development. Selected display practitioners will have their work featured in the exhibition.

Applications for this Expression of Interest closes on Sunday 26 November 2023 at midnight.
