Legacy is an exploration of discarded and found objects from a domestic and architectural point of view, interrogating the way we keep and dispose of objects in our lives. A constant flux of ephemera carrying the resonance of skilled hands, knowledge and stories. The form of the object has become a lens through which to explore colour, form and memory.
Kristin Burgham is a ceramicist working with industrial ceramic production processes. Burgham works with found discarded objects to explore and build on the narrative of both the abandoned object and evidence of its maker. Her work is imbued with colour, scale and memory. Her works acknowledge and reflect on industry and its social history.
