Potential Sites is an exhibition exploring the poetic and technical potential of propellers. Using fabric, thread and string, four propellor hats reinterpret the forms of Darrieus, Giromill and Savonius turbines. Positioned at the intersection of craft, engineering and design, the works invite audiences to consider propellers not only as industrial mechanisms but as conical and kinetic wind sculptures.

Each hat features a small cross-stitched emblem naming real Australian industrial sites - Whyalla Steelworks and Prominent Hill Mine. As key metal and plastic recycling centres supporting wind turbine production, these locations anchor the works in the landscapes where copper, steel and composite materials are made and reused. The propellor hats demonstrate various different types of appliqué, ranging from weaving, cross-stitching and pattern making.
