This exhibition showcases new works from Claudia Bloxsome, Em Frank and Thannie Phan – three emerging Australian artists whose work offers insights into the intersection of personal narrative, material exploration and connection to culture. Working across their mediums of textiles, porcelain and clay, their practices share a common thread in reflection of personal journey and place.
Claudia Bloxsome’s woven sculptures explore the passage of time and the resilience of the human spirit, while Thannie Phan’s delicate ceramic vessels balance fragility with strength, revealing the intimate stories embedded within her process. Em Frank’s deep connection to the Central Desert emerges as she intertwines clay and metal to reflect on the cyclical nature of decay and renewal, drawing from the found remnants of car graveyards as symbols of memory and transformation.
