Quilt along with Tara Glastonbury and make your own modern wagga.

Gather your old clothes, worn out towels and sheets, or anything too far gone for the charity bin and turn them into a beautiful and functional wagga quilt.

Part online workshop, part quilt-along - participants will be sent a series of instructions as well as being able to tune in to a weekly livestream (recorded for re-watching) and follow along on Instagram or Facebook. Each livestream will go for approximately one hour and include time for Q&A, demonstration of that week's process as well as the sharing of examples and work in progress.

The modern wagga schedule:

Week 1 - learn about the wagga and choose your fabrics

Week 2 - typical wagga layouts and how to design yours

Week 3 - construction of your wagga top

Week 4 - layering, borders and finishing

When you purchase the workshop through the Etsy link you will be sent the first week's PDF download as well as a welcome email with further information on how to join in and make the most of your quilt-along experience.

Suitable for those with beginner through to advanced sewing skills. Tools required include scissors, thread, a quick-unpick and an iron as well as the textiles you wish to make the wagga from. The quilt can be sewn by hand, but access to a sewing machine would be preferable.
