In this interactive demonstration, DNJ PAPER will invite between 10-15 participants to join them in their studio at Southbank's BETA Atelier to learn about how they turn a sheet of paper into a luxurious cloth.

In their practice, DNJ makes garments and accessories out of Handmade Japanese paper treated and processed into a cloth. In their studio, they will share traditional Japanese and experimental methods for making paper cloth, as well as invite participants to examine their archive of every sheet of handmade paper currently being produced in Japan.

DNJ will also provide an introduction and overview of the historical context and relevance of this material practice.

*Please note that this demonstration will be limited to 15 participants
