Craft Crits is a new program offered by Craft in 2024 to enable makers to access Craft’s extensive organisational knowledge backed by more than 50 years of engaging and supporting makers, designers and artists. Delivered quarterly, and with each session thematically focused, Craft Crits offers makers with the chance to meet one-on-one with Craft’s staff to get external feedback and current industry informed perspectives for different aspects of professional creative practice.

Each round will offer up to 8 x 30min individual meetings with Craft staff relevant to the session topic. On booking their session, each participant will be prompted to complete a short pre-questionnaire. This will enable staff to gain an understanding of the participant's practice, goals and development areas prior to meeting with them to facilitate a well-informed and focused feedback session.

Offered with the option of both in-person or online delivery, Craft Crits are accessible to makers based locally; as well as further away.

In 2024, the four Craft Crit topics will be:

Exhibition Development: 4-8 March 2024
Retail Ready: 4-7 June 2024
Application Review: 9-13 September 2024
Open Topic: 2-6 December 2024

With Craft Membership including priority bookings, one complimentary session, and additional sessions available at a reduced member cost, Craft Crits is a member-focused program that aims to add further value to Craft Membership. Non-members are able to book after the member-booking period has concluded.

Member Price: 1 free session per year, $25 for subsequent sessions
General Price (Non-Members): $50

Registrations for each round of Craft Crits, will open two months prior.
