Su san Cohn

Su san Cohn needs no introduction – she is a renowned jeweller, artist and craftsperson with a long-standing practice across contemporary art, design and craft. She is a long-time friend and supporter of Craft Victoria, as well as a frequent visitor.

"Craft is this very important tool to connect people. It's a magical language."

"[Craft Victoria] helps young people start – it helps artists that have been going for a long time to keep going... and it connects people that are growing up and going into new stages of their life realise that craft exists. Or the major collector – it keeps them connected to what new work is coming up. So it works from all angles. Invaluable. Invaluable."

Su san has held a long association with Craft, having previously served on the Board of Directors, and she was instrumental in the development of the Fresh! awards, more than 30 years ago. Her ongoing support and passion for Craft as an organisation and the artists and makers we support is immensely valued.
