Join Shelley Simpson for Ceramics Circle – a relaxed and hands-on gathering designed to bring makers together over play with clay!

Enjoy a Q&A with Shelley, founder of Mud Australia, and take the opportunity to ask questions about the Shelley Simpson Craft Prize 2026 – prior to the submission deadline on 31 July 2026.

Facilitated by Shelley of Mud Australia, this session offers a chance to connect with fellow creatives in an open, supportive environment. Whether you’re emerging or established, Ceramics Circle is an opportunity to share experiences, exchange ideas and build meaningful relationships within the craft community.

Through informal conversation and peer-to-peer discussion, participants will explore the realities of maintaining a creative practice: from studio habits and material processes to navigating the broader industry.

Shelley will guide the conversation, drawing on her extensive experience to prompt discussion and encourage connection across the group.
